(100 words) The fire department puts out fires, helps others, and if needed acts as if they are an EM. A firefighter is kind of like a EM in a way because if they are first on the scene they are charged with helping or doing what is needed for the person in distress. Like in the shows, firefighters will save animals if needed and save humans from for example like a burning building.   Would you rather be a Firefighter or EMS? EMS Why do you want to be a Firefighter/EMS? (100 words) I want to help people in any way that I can, and one of those ways is to make sure people are alright when they get injured, this is one reason I want to be a EMS. As an EMS I would do anything to help the person who needs help even if it means sticking my own neck out for them. For example if they where shot and still being shot at I would still run up and try to help them. Do you have any experience? no.  There is a man who just had a heart attack on the sidewalk, what do you do? Start CPR on the person, ask them if they can hear you. If needed call in others to help with the situation and try to get him to the hospital as soon as possible. An officer has just been shot down by a bank robber, what do you do? Stop the bleeding by adding circulation, if on duty get them loaded up into the vehicle and drive to a hospital while holding pressure, if not then call 911 while adding pressure to the wound Anything to add? Yes, I want to be a EMS/Firefighter to help people .
